Possible Windows Defender Issue, and Java Backdoor issue
Re: Possible Windows Defender Issue, and Java Backdoor issue
I found a pretty solid ad block for Chrome that blocks a lot more than Adblock Plus does. It's called Ublock Origin. When you install the add on it does ask for permissions to all of your traffic data, but I'm guessing all of that is being monitored already anyways so what can you do.
Re: Possible Windows Defender Issue, and Java Backdoor issue
Keep in mind that uBlock Origin is NOT the same as uBlock.org and depending on which site you go to, one download is for Chrome only and the other is for Mozilla Firefox, links below for all. As for Ad Blocker Plus, be careful on the site you download it from, it has been known from some sites to carry a Trojan: Win32.Trojan.WisdomEyes.16070401.9500.9959 discovered by Baidu, and Jiangmin found a WebToolbar.Codiby.dz

Site for uBlock Origin - Firefox Edition:

Ad Block Plus also has the same type of setup downloads for browsers.
Here's the site for the original program:

If you are interested in Baidu and what it does, the FREE version is 2015 and a good site to download it is CNET. Just be careful if you decide to download and use it. It WILL take over other security programs that you are using if it prompts you and you say "YES" to the prompt. By this, I mean like the above issue, it stopped Windows Defender's protection and put it on hibernation mode, and Baidu is now protecting the system it is on, but it does have some very nice features, and some draw backs.

As for Jiangmin, I'm not going to post any links on this, I personally don't like it, it doesn't do a very good job and uses a bunch of RAM to run.
EDIT: Just a quick thought....if you are already using Internet Explorer 11, it has a built-in Ad Blocker already. Click on the Gear Icon in the upper right corner (Tools or hit Alt + X). Then click on Safety and then Turn on Tracking Protection. What this does is prevents 3rd party content providers from showing you their advertisements with IE's blocking or allowing 3rd party URIs based upon the rules set by the Tracking Protection List you choose. Once you add a list, you can edit them via your Manage add-ons found by using the same gear cog and it's drop down selection list. You can find a bunch of list at the MS site below. It even has one to stop Google Tracking, and you can select a Do Not Track for all sites at the same Gear Cog drop down in the Safety selection. Tracking is how advertisers and 3rd parties are able to show you ads by how you have been surfing the internet via your interest.
