Converting .rec files ???
Converting .rec files ???
Is there a small easy program to simply convert .rec files to a .wmv or mpeg format. I could search it but I'd appreciate any thoughts or suggestions...
Re: Converting .rec files ???
programs. stu might know a good one.
Re: Converting .rec files ???
Not possible. .rec files are simply server information from the game you played (player and projectile location, flag status, etc). They don't contain any actual video footage.
Re: Converting .rec files ???
I'd recommend OBS. Smaller file sizes, decent quality.
This. I can't believe that anyone would still use fraps. Also the nice thing about replaying .rec files is that you can completely change your config and record it differently than how you played it.

You need to play back the rec file in Tribes and record it. The easiest program to use is FRAPS.DaJ4ck3L wrote:programs. stu might know a good one.
It's biggest drawback is it uses no compression, so as a result the produced AVI files are huge. I convert them to a smaller size by using a video converter (like AVS Video Converter 6)
I posted the FRAPS download here:

I would also suggest installing and using Democam. It will allow you to view your rec files from any angle or speed while you record them with FRAPS.
