I often shoot a single plasma or flamer around corners to detonate mines that might be there. If I hear a clicking noise, I know I just damaged a player, and keep shooting.
Likewise, I always throw a grenade down elevator shafts before jumping down.
Shoot flag stands before I swipe the flag, for same reason...
Basically, all of my superstitions involve potential mines. I fucking hate mines.

I always switch weapon modes so that I don't accidentally lock my standard fire. Ironically I always lock my standard fire and it never fires.
