Yes it is a tribes like game.
Has similarities of T1, T2, and Ascend.
Yes they have an air vehicle right now very similar to the shrike in T2 and I believe they are going to be adding more.

The new engineer changes are a pretty big buff for turret farmers. Too big, perhaps. You don't even have to visit inventory stations to get more turrets or other deployables. Just wait a few seconds and you can place another.

Yeah I actually like that and hope they add more turrets to bring in the mod players lol

They announced today that they are bringing the game to steam open access at the same time that they go into closed beta, scheduled for 3 months from now. This is pretty good in my opinion because it has the chance to bring in a huge amount of players.
