If you are going to keep all of the players in your server don't let it stagnate. You made the decision to keep all mod progress under your control, so do something, or let somebody else.
Not saying this to cause drama

I think it might need a little more attention to the maps. Some maps on there are just plain and boring. I've made some new ones recently based off tribes ascend.
Hopefully the players from ascend who crossed over will enjoy them as well.

It's only been a few months since i put out the last big update. Sadly the whole flair thing had to get canned on launch due to exceeding item data limit. Wish there was a way around that. I heard reality bites had a plugin to go above the cap on data limit. Not sure how true that is though.
I can't make updates a full time thing, but I can put a few out a year. As long as people address bugs/issues it's not hard for me to follow up on them at some point. rolo seemed to want me to have an active presence in the server on a daily basis, but I can't do that all year round. The thought of having help on the mod is awesome, but in the past has never quite worked out. There are a few things from Annihilation US I did take interest in, such as the stats system. Also the sounds on menu's was a pretty cool touch. Something I would love to add in the mod at some point.
I'll try to get my hands on this plugin to see how it works, and I also plan to add in that stats system. Other than that, what else is there? Aside from minor clean ups, the mod is at a pretty good point now tbh. It has more content than any other active mod in Tribes.

Honestly, what I personally feel we should focus on. Player created movies of elite game play in Annihilation on the different armors, figuring out what the issue is with HiRez plugin, advertising to the TA community once we have A and B before TA community completely separates. Get some donations together to get someone like Binswees to make us a video of Tribes Annihilation. Create a basic tutorial system for in game, as well as a more in depth tutorial to go up on youtube. Find someone to finish up the HD skin set on static shape objects, such as stations, turrets, shotgun, etc. Finding the few images groove didn't do in his HD skin set and finishing them.
^^These are things we should be focusing on more, not who does the content for the mod, and when it gets released.
In case you forgot who Binswees is.

He made that video.
He also made these 2 videos.

Your last update was half assed bro. You put more exploits/bugs into the game and then left it to sit like that. You can focus on all the high resolution skins & videos that you want, but the reality is that you are not doing much of a service to the community by making us wait around for you. You already have one responsibility to the community that you are not fulfilling. BR is one of the 2 only populated servers left, and it has taken you roughly 4 years to get the mod into the state that it is in. How many more years do you think it will take for the remaining ~50 players to get tired of this and leave? Every time i join the server people are complaining and dropping. Eventually they will just stop playing, as time has already proven
We do not have time to wait around for you, and we do not need you to make the updates. There are multiple active people left in the community that can be trusted, that are also way better and more efficient coders than you are. (Including myself, which you are well aware of) You need to let us handle the server updates, and allow somebody besides yourself to handle matters of server support while you are gone. Annihilation has been passed down through multiple different people now; Se7nn, Plasmatic, Kigen & Krogoth, You and I. What ever reasons you have for keeping the mod to yourself, i can assure you are going to matter a lot less once you realize how much of a negative impact it is having on the community. You are preventing the growth that we so very much need right now

Hang on just a minute... If it is the most populated server then something is being done right wouldn't you agree? The poll is a little skewed in it choices IMHO. In my lifetime, "progress" has come to mean simply that someone wants to do it their way, not ALL progress is good. My only horse in this race is that I like playing in the server and I don't want to see it screwed up. I have seen changes over the years I've played and I think they've been carefully thought out, tested for balance and evaluated properly so as not to completely change the game play. BS I'm not against your ideas and making updates and changes and if Crow and his cohorts need help they should consider your thoughts on this. If they don't want to let the mod coding out there for everyone to see I'm sure they have their reasons. I'm not techie and certainly not a coder but I do love this game. You all have my respect for the work you put into it and BS I see you doing a LOT to help revive and keep the game going, KUDOS to you man! These guys have done pretty well as gatekeepers and keeping game play fair and running off cheats but Crow and the gang also need to consider implementing changes from reliable coders like yourself who want to be involved and will put in the work to help out. This game really is a mixed bag, it brings us all together and also creates enemies among us due to it's competitive nature. We all have to realize this and work together and not take things too personally. I hope you all will work together and bring great things to the game, "good change" takes time. I may not have all the facts here but people are playing regularly in the server and if it ain't broke why screw with it, any changes should be gradual, thought out and tested. Just my 2cents...

Damn everyone wants to bash Crow, but I don't seen Anni US getting populated with all it's, "updates."
The people who are still around you might as well consider lifers, and most likely will continue to play regardless because they love the game. Our problem is getting NEW people to play this game.
So because Crow has a life...... you feel he shouldn't be allowed to continue on something he's worked on forever >_>
That's sort of fucked. Once your updates bring in more people on Anni US, than in BR, then maybe Crow should step down... but I don't see that happening anytime soon. (Or just fucking collaborate you fucks!)
As for the maps, I still have yet to see a good map that someone has actually made. (No offense to all your map makers.)
They are all congested with so many fucking obstacles it's absurd. We either have A:) Outside maps with way too many structures and unnecessary things; or B:) Indoor maps that become turtle / nuke fests. Can't we find a fucking balance after a decade? (I take that back somewhat; I've seen some good maps from Shift and Death.)
I also don't see you posting any of the bugs / exploits that Crow apparently left in with his last update, so it would be nice if you could enlighten us, or even just him.
And on the final note.. People don't complain and drop due to bugs, it's due to PEOPLE. Nine out of ten times, if someone drops they are getting pissed off at another player. That's like a hands down fact.
Either way, this all boils down to the fact that we cannot, and will not grow with just the standard community we have. I don't understand where you think all these imaginary players are going to come from, but they aren't going to read a news article one morning, "Black Sheep updates Annihilation BR Server, come try it out!" Fix the current bugs, and go from there. I really think we need to get more videos like Bins used to put up, and spark the interest before we even think about updating. Anni is already annoying as fuck for new people to grasp. I tried to get my nephew to play, (17), and he was so distraught by what to do it was crazy. So Sheepysheep, maybe you should construct a tutorial guide. You Ghost, and Shift could easily make one together. Whatever happened to project, "Revive Tribes?"
"Not trying to start drama."

Honestly, that is what it seems like lately. I'm not so sure that Crow leaving the mod to himself is any worse/better that leaving it with a group of coders. I applaud you and support you in your efforts Blacksheep, but what exactly does bashing Crow do?

One thing I try to keep in mind with every map I make is will other people enjoy playing on it, and is it suitable for the mod? I would agree the maps are a problem and the rotation needs to be fixed with only the "prime cuts"
also I'll work on tutorial guide after I eat some breakfast.
