Flame Thrower
Pros: High Powered. Lobs super strong plasma balls over objects. Damages energy systems.
cons: Vulnerable to self inflicted damage indoors. Ammo is scarce. Does not penetrate deployables. Slow Travel speed.

Plasma Rifle
Pros: Ammo is plentiful. Penetrates deployables. Damages energy systems. Fast travel speed.
cons: Stock damage values. Does not lob plasma over objects.

This isn't even really debatable, the only reason for any comparison is because you spawn with Plasma. Would anyone ever use plasma if you spawned with flame thrower instead? (My guess is no)

in all seriousness though, I see the plasma rifle as a more versatile weapon than the flame thrower. In a mod that requires a lot of flexibility I truly appreciate its uses.

p.s. it was you who originally had me put flame in my loadouts where there was a choice between flame/plasma

I went with plasma. Flame is stronger for sure, but plasma has the rape through D trait. I don't carry either in titan load out, but in some cases I will partially kill D on open maps in titan, then when I respawn go back and finish it through the barrier with plasma.

If I were to put one in my titan load out though, it would probably be plasma. Just because it's a good weapon to finish off D.

I can see the advantages though of a titan using flame instead, as it is a strong gun to kill heavies in close combat. For me though, I just use phase/rocket launcher if it comes down to close combat.

For other armors I'd probably go with flame over plasma.

Flame throwers = Indoor rape session

Plasma = Outdoor rape session

For dismantling defense, I also use both!

because he's stupid slow. I mean he doesn't even know how to ski. I'm not even joking. Other people have even agreed "now that I think about it, I never have seen knight ski"
