i always clear mine, since i live on the edge space wise.

Not only that but keeping crap in your RB will slow your system down over time. My advice delete anything each time your on. Its became a habit of mine that is normal to me. I've been a habitual Recycle Bin emptying user since Win95's garbage can. But since I got this laptop with Windows 8, I apparently haven't paid it 0 attention. I don't download porn on my comp, that's what smartphones are for silly. I have no idea what the bulk of the deleted items were, retrospectively thinking I probably should have peeked to make sure nothing important got deleted.
I have no idea exactly how long it took to empty my bin, I just clicked 'empty Recycle Bin' and walked away. After being left alone for about 4 hours I came back to a machine with 24,000 less files and it's working like new. I'm such a fucking noob sometimes.
