so whats going on? what happened? I was idling on it this morning and I disabled the time limit lol

weird. looks like it was stopped for some reason. never seen that happen.

i have a theory... this used to happen when we hosted US annihilation. I would admin disable time and idle there. I would never be able to wake up the next day without the server crashing.

someone at branzone probably shuts it off thinking that its stuck on a map.

or its a bug were the time limit keeps racking up and just eventually crashes it. Either way I notice this can be consistently done by doing that. So I wont disable time when I idle there.

edit: can you make me a script that logs everything that happens before the crash. That way I can send you a report on what happened moments before it happens.

It is conceivable that the timelimit gets to a number so high that it crashes the server. Perhaps, figure out what that number is, and right before the server reaches it, reset the time to 1.

I bet its 2000 you know y2k bug. It was believed that all the computers would crash during y2k, but they didn't.

Good point, Tribes was made in 1997, pre-y2k, so it's quite possible they didn't compensate for the y2k bug... If the server runs for 2k years, 60% of the time, it will crash 100% of the time!
