Everyone uses Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/

Newegg:

https://www.newegg.com/

or even Walmart, if desperate:

https://www.walmart.com/

I also use an online company called TigerDirect sometimes:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/

For used items I always check Ebay:

https://www.ebay.com/

For local items, I'll check Altex, they are also online. I don't use that much, but sometimes they carry a special item the others don't, and helped me out:

I don't use retail stores anymore, besides Walmart every so often for cheapie stuff, like items you use with your bigger electronics, cables, etc. I keep seeing people using sites like AliExpress online from YouTube video post, in which they bought their supplies from them to make their projects. Prices are very cheap, but I saw one where this person from the US bought something for $4-$6, but the shipping was over $20  What's your opinion on these sites? What sites do you use that I might not have listed?

- Walmart
- Starshoptrend
- Etsy (if you cant find specific shorts of a super hero just buy a patch and make one)
- ebay
- newegg
- Amazon (hard to find collectible toys)
- hot topic
- The Home depot
- Wish.com
- venus.com (my mom tends to not buy nice things so i buy her some cool clothes of her choice, its weird getting the catalogs though lol)
- wrestlingsuperstore.com
- k.jordan (same for my mom)
- Frys (sometimes they got the hook up)
- I use google image and google shopping to find cheaper deals on various things.

Thats about it kilroy, I have to just look for the best and use other sites to tell me if their good, like reviews but the review has to make sense or I dont buy and just look for a cheaper one.

We have an electronics store here in San Antonio, TX like Best Buy named Conn's. I used to use them, but their name says what they were doing to the consumer when they purchased something from them. The Department of Justice Anti-Trust Division was contacted and they were caught, but they were only fined a bunch of money and still allowed to stay in business.

I do the same thing jINKS, shop around to find the best deal possible.

Has anyone used any of the third world online businesses, like the AliExpress I mentioned? I'm looking to do a few projects. They have the cheapest prices that I've found, some more than half the cost then Amazon and Newegg, but as I stated, not sure about shipping, like one person said, they paid $4 something for the item, but shipping was over $20 to the US.

I see things from them sometimes that is a good deal but when the original extratorrent was around (the website) that was one of their intrusive pop ups so I just stayed away, kinda didn't want to have my credit card written down hehe.

Yeah, I hear ya on that one. That's what I'm kind of worried about, so think I'll do the same until I hear otherwise.

I've gotten quite a few items from Walmart lately because when I do Google search for what I'm looking for, they usually have the best price if they have it. Plus, no shipping and free in-store pickup. They're only a mile from the house so it's no big deal to run down there and pick it up. The oddest things I've bought there were a holster and a handgun safe. Both beat out the competition by a considerable margin.

I'm a very trusting individual and have used some of the seedier online stores in the past.

I've never paid $20 for shipping though. That's a deal breaker. I typically look for retailers that offer no tax or shipping. Just bake it all into the product price so I don't have to do math.

I've had a couple of sellers not deliver before. I typically pay with paypall which claims to protect the buyer... Haven't had to use those services yet. I've had to wait so long for delivery that I wondered if the product would ever arrive, though.

same here paranoia, still waiting on an item.. i bought flash pants like the DC comics character and right now its been so long i dont really know if the product was for pajamas or some diff type of pants. Yeah I just steer clear of those types of retailers whos ads appear on those sneaky sites KILROY. Whats weird is some news outlets have said before thats one of the biggest online retailers out there right now...so..i dont know... but you could put the money on a gold card walmart debit card and try it that way KILROY, wouldant hurt.

News networks don't vet their advertisers anymore.
