Open call map files

Apparently I have some problem with the file with where my open call maps are stored (like massive sides...got booted when it came up the other night). I have 2 folders in my tribes folder, /opencall and /opencall2....are these the correct folders for these maps or do they need to be extracted elsewhere. I talked to someone else on the game with the same problem. Sorry if i'm not totally savvy on this side of things.

Think I figured it out....i didn't have the vol files. I DL'd them now...hopefully should work fine.

I know this is off topic but.. BR Owner I tried sending you a messages over Xfire but all I got was:
<High latency detected between you and the server. Your last few messages may not have been received.>

P.S. I tried a few times hrs later but still that same dumb error.

Has to do something with the xfire server hours clients connect to. Nothing we can really do but wait and see if it gets corrected.

Where do I get .dtf files for some maps like DarkAurora? Apparently I am missing this still...thought I had all the necessary ones. Why aren't they included in the opencall zip file?

I still get kicked every time the DarkAuroras map comes up and I couldn't find anything that I didn't have within all these files...what the heck is DarkAuroras.dtf and why is nobody else missing it except for me!!??

People have problems with these maps because version 1.4 of tribes was not a finished product when it was discontinued by garage games and then taken at that current point by the community. Some of the open call map files were still missing and this was eventually patched, but the pre-patch versions are still floating around.


Here are the three open call folders. Extract them from the .zip straight into your 1.4 tribes folder and let it replace your old ones if it asks.

If DarkAuoras is the only one you're having problems with here's a smaller .zip with only those files. Extract them from the .zip straight into the Open Call/Missions folder.
