Any reason why they are just "Team 1" and "Team 2"? I can never remember what team I am on when looking at the score. Regression/Attrition? Coke/Pepsi (Anni NJ)? Diamond Sword/Blood Eagle?
Not a big deal was just wondering.

I agree... Generic team names are too generic.

That's extremely offensive, to homosexuals.

Even something as simple as red & blue ... or whatever your team's flag's color is.

Use the first four default team names, and color names for the last four teams instead of Generic 1-4 or whatever.
Team names should match team skins.
I'm sure it's an unpopular opinion, but I've always disliked custom skins. They're client side, so not everyone sees them, anyway.

IMO use colors because there are base skins for each.
Red - Beagle
Blue
Green
Orange
Purple
And you can do fun stuff with them if you want, I used to love doing team specific items. K0RN made an Aliens vs Marines mod where one team had all energy weapons and the other was US military loadouts. Now that I think about it that would still be a sick mod idea if there were people to play it.

I started writing an XCOM mod, years ago... I wonder if I can dig that up...
It wasn't different items for different teams, it was escalating technology... The goal was to research and develop faster than your opponent, so you'd have better weapons.
However, a skilled player with shitty weapons would still be able to take out shitty players with better technology.
There are 3 basic levels of weapons. Ammo based, laser, and plasma.
