%this reads a little goofy to me.
%this used in onFire normally refers to the imageslot/item, in %proj you have %this as pos but it looks like %this is still imageslot/item ref. Dunno, just seems odd to me. If not that try a different trans method and scrap Gamebase::getmuzz

BTW: Great idea... I had a similar idea, before to combine ghost pack, phase shifter, and OS Missiles, so you could fly through a wall then teleport to the missile, but I never did figure out how to make a missile go through a wall without exploding on impact.
