weidman silva fight

This is just depressing...

Maybe silva is just too old now and needs to give up fighting.

Yeah I think it really sucks for such a built up fight to end like this.

Poor silva... No matter if you like him or hate him, that is just a horrible thing that happened to him.

It is unreal how he broke it too. I've never even heard of something like this happening.

Maybe Weidman really does deserve the belt after all.

Then again, I think silva, who is an incredible legend, is in fact a human being, and age is probably catching up with him.

In my opinion, he needs to quit the UFC, and enjoy life.

He has done more than enough for his legacy.

Well, Weidman is a good match for Silva. Unfortunately for Silva, Weidman fights smart and doesn't give in to Silva's (troll) tactics.

At the same time, I think people focus too much on these so called "troll antics" of silva's, making it out to be as if that is his key strategy, when in reality, the man is a phenomal athlete and fighter.

A lot of fighters have exerted their cockiness in the UFC. Unfortunately Silva's action cost him his first loss and the loss of a belt in his first bout with Weidman. Now his only chance to prove himself and the better fighter ends the way it did. If he ever gets a chance to fight again, he'll think twice about taunting.

Very sad outcome, poor silva. This happened to Corey Hill and Phil Baroni. Hope Silva will fight again someday, Baroni did and is doing well.

so basically there is no real defense if you launch a kick and your opponent lifts his knee up like that, you are pretty much hosed right?

that seems to indicate a potentially huge weakness to exploit in the mui tai kick(i know i spelled this wrong) boxing style.

maybe its not easy to land this type of attack, but none the less, its obviously quite effective against those kicks.
