Mapping-ElectricBeams

Post by virus »

Is there any way to reposition these bad boys? Once deployed, it can't be moved. I seem to grab everything but the damn beam itself. No matter how precise I am at clicking the ball that's associated with each object it snags the item in the background. Any tips?

Thanks.

Thanks Ghost. I just wonder how many maps like the Bot maps move the beams around.

here try this... this is how i do it.

use something of similar size, like com antennas. Then edit the material list so that its the same as the electric beams.

if you're still confused i'll show you a print screen.

Brilliance! I understand what you were saying.

That's clever as hell, too.

Thanks.

You guys are way over thinking this. Place a small object like a flagstand or cargo crate and select both it and the beam via the mission list. You drag the beam by dragging the object.

I knew there was a way to move it in editor like this. Couldn't think of it though. Last time I played with editor was years ago.

death and crow are the only two I know who've probably spent more time than me on tribes.

also sitting idle for your xfire to rack up time doesn't count crow. but i know you have the real hours so its ok.

LOL @ Shift

Death, that seems a lot more easier, but in my case where I'll be creating an object with numerous beams, Shift idea, as well as Ghost both work for me.

Thank for everyone's response. I appreciate it.
