Thinking about...
Re: Thinking about...
Weed for epilepsy might be the only valid usage of marijuana that I could condone. I have a great deal of experience caring for dogs that have multiple seizures per day. It's upsetting that all these stoners are lying and getting medical marijuana and the medical community is complacent with that, when it has absolutely nothing to do with their condition. All these seriously sounding news stories are utterly fictitious, scientifically, all of these sick people are saying marijuana kills the pain. Marijuana is not doing anything special in their case, they feel different because they smoked a joint. Average people also smoke marijuana to "kill pain", their sobriety is very painful to them. It doesn't mean that it actually has legitimate medical effects that are pertinent to their specific condition. Getting drunk can actually kill the pain, but that's not considered a medicine.
Stop. Close your eyes. Breathe deeply three times. Relax. Be here and now.

I sit in a tractor 12 - 16 hours a day during planting/harvesting time.
And if I didn't have marijuana by my side during those boring ass rows, then I.... well I guess I would still work but I would be mad as fuck about it.

I live in a resort area and so all summer is kinda one big party, or used to be, I've settled down quite a bit with age but....
I've been around both drinkers and smokers quite a bit and I really have to say it's much easier to tolerate a stoner than a drunkard. Now there's nothing wrong with having a drink and even tying one on once in a while but a few good friends and people fall overboard with the drink and become alcoholics. Not so with the stoners.. and honestly they make a lot more sense.
Partying can lead to harder drugs no doubt but in my experience if a stoner can find more weed for the most part that's all they really care for. Big problem around the country now is cheap heroin and young people are falling prey to this killer, when I think if weed was more available they wouldn't experiment with cheap hard drugs.
As far as how it affects your health, you really have to see who paid for a study to have proper insight into it's findings. I'd be more concerned with environmental pollutants and shit you come in contact with while at work, hell even products that are sold legally are somewhat poisonous to certain individuals.
Overall I would rather have a (grown) child of mine smoke pot than become an alcoholic. It's about as harmless of a "high" you're going to find in my experience. I'm not saying it's for everyone though. NEVER experiment with any thing harder, never.
Just MY opinion...

I completely agree. Most of my friends are addicted to weed, and I would much rather be around them than the ones who are addicted to alcohol.
I rarely drink, but when I do, my goal is to get drunk, and I've made arrangements so I don't have to drive anywhere. In fact, I avoid drinking if I'm not stumbling distance from the bed I intend to sleep in, that night.
I've been to some epic parties, and usually try to make sure everyone else is safe, and has a place to sleep, and no need to drive. Occasionally, you find an angry drunk who refuses to stay and insists on driving themselves home. When I encounter such people, I try to discretely prevent them from driving, such as hiding their keys until the morning, or blocking their car in it's parking space, so it cannot be moved. That's risky though, cause once, I insisted that one drunk not move his car to let another drunk out, and the blocked in drunk ended up attempting to drive through the other drunk's car...
That was not a fun night.
None of that shit ever happens with my stoner friends, though... They are usually too paranoid to go anywhere... They just chillax, fuck, and sleep.
Drunks think they are invincible and above reproach, but in reality, they are angry, sick, and dangerous. They tend to fight, puke, and drive.
