Tribes 1.40 on Windows 8... works or NO!

Does it work. My pc is fired so no access to tribes. In the process of buying a laptop, no more custom building systems anymore..Let me know guys!

i gotta run multiboot, win8.1 and with win7 for tribes.

Hmmmmm, it works, but the plugins don't. Me personally, could not play tribes on windows 8.

Think my next PC will be laptop too.

Windows 8 worked fine, but you can't access the console in Windows 8.1

I hear that Windows 8.2 will have a real start menu, again...

I highly recommend the Microsoft Surface Pro 2, despite the inability to access client side console.

Being the host, you can still access the server console, anyway.

You can also dual boot, like Erowid suggests.

You can access the console Perrinoia. You just have to go to the Device Manager and uninstall Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver from Human Interface Devices before launching Tribes. At least, that is what works for me. This is an issue on many laptops and some desktops.
