I decided to release my sounds, but I need someone to convert them all to 1.40 ogg format.
The bullet ricochet and chaingun sounds have been revamped, they're crisper and more robust. Button clicks are changed to resemble the sound hits from quake arena, so when you hit someone in BrServer you hear a *HOOT!*
be careful when using these sounds with headphones, start on a low subtle volume and work your way up. They are a tad bit louder.
armors now sound more mechanical. Foot steps for heavies are a little louder cause you know they're fuckn heavy.
explosions are a bit more deeper and robust.
reload sounds for disc are the exact same speed as the reload times.
But yeah, just try it out and if you don't like it bitch and moan. Happy Tribing, gl and hf

Re: [request] 1.11 to 1.40 sound conversion.
I wasn't sure which OGG format 1.40 uses, so I just converted to each type.
Edit: Accidentally had 2 of every file in the Telephone Quality.

Re: [request] 1.11 to 1.40 sound conversion.
Good to know, I won't waste my time on the other formats, in the future.
PS: I found an app that batch converts audio formats... Only took me a few minutes to convert all of those.
Had to uncheck a metric shit ton of boxes in the installer to avoid installing bundled malware.
I think it was called "Free WMA to MP3 Converter", but it also does WAV, OGG, and a few other formats, too.

Re: [request] 1.11 to 1.40 sound conversion.
Shift can you rip the XPack3001.vol and convert those to ogg to work with 1.40? My Vol extractor doesn't seem to do it well and runs into errors.

Re: [request] 1.11 to 1.40 sound conversion.
Give me a link, I'll do it, when I get home, this afternoon.
Re: [request] 1.11 to 1.40 sound conversion.
My, yes of course! Let us just convert these sounds to 48KHz with stereo sound, because that will surely magically increase the quality! Hell, why don't we make 24/96 while we are at it, just because we can!
Re: [request] 1.11 to 1.40 sound conversion.
Obviously, if I knew the quality of the original files, I wouldn't bother converting it to something better, as that would be a pointless waste of disc space, however, I've got no clue what quality the original files were, so I figure the best quality is least likely to make the new files sound worse than the old files.
TLDR; Suck it.
