Tribes...Superstitions?

Post by blankgirl »

:dunce:

Does anyone have any superstition-type things they do when playing tribes?

I tend to Re-weld some shit twice or more because I can't remember if I had done it already.

I always had this eerie feeling that you played naked. Thought it was just in my head all these years.

play tribes naked right out of the shower. Usually with a master race hair style comb separation.

Switch weapons often to avoid no registers. Also avoid packs and weapons when shooting enemies as those may cause no registers if you shoot them.

Press the activate ghost pack while holding the flag before capturing it until you fumble, I believe this resets the timer so that when you go in for another cap you don't drop it outside. It could be a random variable, but I'm superstitious.

on broadside after I setup a laser box inside the main entrance corridor, I always place a generator inside of the walls that protrude to the main flag room. In the annex levels in the middle I always place 3 or 4 plasma floors on top of the blastwalls that stick out because you can't see them from certain angles. This is a reminder that there is an object there and so I'm not constantly getting stuck on something invisible.

Always ignore fish. Guy never has anything important or useful to say. Never contributes to his team. Overall just a useless cunt who distracts you from the actual game.

Always place nuclear turrets in long hallways for good luck kills. Usually these are pesky necromancers or builders trying to move defenses. Sometimes I'll hide a remote pulse sensors nearby in case they decide to try and set a barrier in the hallway to protect themselves.

Always force field the flag with doors. Platforms are dumb and annoying.
