I thought there was an admin function where you could pick the next mission to be played..couldn't you tweak this to have the server vote it every map at a certain point where the map with the most yes votes would get played next

i.e. it pops up at map start, the tab menu with three options, map with most yes votes is played

still doesn't fully solve fixing a servers entire map selection obv but helps

Something similar to this would be preferable. In the past we've had a set rotation of maps and you would end up playing the same maps in the same order several times that week. The current system where a random map from the same category is selected on every map change is better, but we do still need to make some changes.

I would like to see the current option to simply 'vote next mission' removed. This is bad because you're rolling the dice for which map will come next and picking a map is almost always better as it allows you to make a rational choice based on how many people are in the server and you can always just vote a common favorite like raindance. Voting any map within the OG CTF maps is easy and will typically pass as well. This way you'll be playing only the Dynamix maps unless a vote for another map outside that category passes.

In 'vote next mission's place we should add the option to pick the next map in line like the admin function justR mentioned, which is currently broken as well actually. This would be nice because sometimes you want to secure a good map for the next map, but don't necessarily want to end the current one. There's no need to have it be a forced menu pop up as people already vote enough on their own. The last change should be to fix the current vote spam system. If you initiate three votes and they all fail you probably shouldn't be able to vote anymore for awhile. If we had this in the past it doesn't seem to be working now.
