Nice. I should have realized that. Maybe you can answer my question S_hift. Why is it when I edit and save blue 00-04, disc 00-27, etc. in PS, they don't render properly in game. I save them as a 8-bit PNG, as they come. Not sure what I'm missing.

blame the custom dts model. It has a way of rendering/placing the explosions differently than the default disc explosion.
I just used the stock explosions that came with the defualt leak.
look in the entities folder and open the dts shape relating to disc with a notepad and look at the bottom line. Those are all the files it calls when the disc explodes. basically all the files in the entities like purple ect.
btw when you say render properly do you mean they just look jacked up? let me see a screenshot.
alternatively to fix this issue just remove the discexplsion dts file in the entities folder and use the stock one. Its also easier to edit the explosions.
