I'm typically not the one on the shit end of the stick here, i just find myself playing in really unfair games. It's getting to be a drag after a while. Like its getting terribly boring. I often find myself looking forward to just losing a game after a while.

Either I'm on a team with a bunch of newbs, or I'm teamed with the hardcore veterans. I really feel like this needs to be changed.


- Auto disable arena on map start. Some maps just have too many objects to run normally and vice versa.

- 60 second intermission between maps. This would give us a time to maybe smoke a bowl, take a piss, have a drink, and just wind down from the game and ready up for the next round.

- Unregistered players should be distributed among the teams evenly based upon their kill numbers. (server does record unregistered player kills, just not the other stats).

- Registered players distributed evenly by specific stats like K/D, caps, power outages, and turrets killed.



Other ideas

- Server ranking system; simply distribute players to the teams this way. Ranking player #1 wont typically be on the same team as ranking player #2 unless the other team has ranking players # 3,4,5






I've brought this up many times before, but I feel like its not an issue thats taken seriously. The server population is really growing this year. Mostly due to weather and people being stuck indoors. I'm starting to see more people playing this year, than last year.


We should also focus more on the promotional aspect of Tribes One. We need a server auto message to remind players to visit this site so that people can get the latest updates and news. Maybe echo a server message every ten minutes "Be sure to visit http://www.tribes.thelandofoz.net for the latest news and updates!" We also need a news section for Tribes only related news. Tribal War is not very reliable when it comes to community friendliness, however this side is. It is one of the main reasons why the Legendz edit continues to be the most popular server played today.

Everything about what he said above is valid.

I will support this notion by positing that we need the same algorithm for team stacking like CoD has.

It stacks teams based on point distributions. The sum of all players' points from on one team should be as close as possible to the sum of the players' points on the other team. Since points (coming from turret kills, gens, etc. etc.) reflect how much "work" the player is effectively doing on the team, this algorithm would ensure that the two people who scored 50% higher than everyone else (for example, since shift or I typically score about 2 - 3x more than the average player) on the server will never be on the same team.

The current "Random" algorithm does "okay" at best, but typically seems to sort by some other function, and "random" "events" (such as shift, crow, and I on the same team has actually happened on more than two occasions, and it "should" never happen...ever...lol.) Perhaps crow can post the code for us. Please?

agreed ! and with new people that we need in for a good player base, if there always getting ass raped why would they play?
