snes gaming

Post by DaJ4ck3L »

So i picked up the snes earlier today, and started playing some game called Skyblazer. What an old sounding name. It's a basic side scrolling action game with punching / cannon moves. Good jump and physics to it too. Been playing it for a few hours now, and beat lots of levels. Think I already close to final boss. Idk. Probably play Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 after.

(Game play for sky blazinnn.)

(These 3 videos are how I found the game. Lots of other good games on here too that I going to try.)

You bought a SNES? Why? You could have just downloaded the game with an emulator and played it on your computer (laptop, smartphone, etc.) for free.

BTW...I still own an Atari 2600 with about 50 or more games, including a Coleco Vision and Intellivision with about 30 or more games :otopic:

well i have it all man. the snes emu on pc with every known game plus an snes to usb controller adapter, the console its self with just about every badass game that was made for it, and multiple portable emulators such as the nvidia shield + 8bitdo blutooth controller to play ez on the go.

atm im using my hdmi cord to hook the shield into the tv, and just using the controller from the couch. the cord is long enough to rest my shield tablet on the table in front of the couch, so i can control all the settings from the tablet, and play it from the tv. much ezer than hooking in all the cords for the snes. plus it's pretty much all wireless aside from the hdmi cord. :bdance:

(my current setup that i posted in another topic)

also off topic, i pretty much all the mainstream systems, with all the best games for them. the only game systems i dont own atm are the newest gen consoles (ps4 and xbox1). ill hopefully pick up the xbox1 when bo3 comes out, or the next treyarch game. ill wait a while for the ps4.

ps: im at the end of the game, and they're having me refight all the bosses. pretty good game, and was able to beat it in just a few hours.

Oh, you should have said that. KK, I see ya now ;)

And the original Atari 2600 Ms. Pacman sold at an online auction for just under $300.

BTW...just a heads up for those looking or already have the Xbox 1, which I don't, only the Xbox 360, but Microsoft announced that those with the Xbox 1 and Windows 10 will be able to play head to head together! I think Microsoft found a way to better advertise the sale of their new Windows System, in which the popularity of it so far isn't that great due to the release and feed back of those already using Windows 8 and 8.1.

Well, I do like it. If it wasn't for the PC, we wouldn't have the console. If the game is released in PC and console format, it's the same game. Why does it matter when you play online who uses what? They are still playing the same game.

ok i lied. it took me like an hour just to beat the damn final boss. thought it would be ezer. guy was rough man...

and no. controller aim and aim with a mouse is much different. not to mention, xbox bo2 has aim assist, which locks onto targets when you ads. pc doesnt, but pc has the mouse, king of freedom of movement. two huge factors alone to consider when half your player base has autoaim, and the other half have super quick aiming. i honestly not sure what would do better, but i wouldn't want to play one vs the other. though if i had to pick, i would go with pc of course. i would maybe be ok with this idea, if you could use mouse / keyboard on xbox one, and mouse / controller on pc. all with the same options of course. because that's another thing that differs in the two versions pointing out FOV would be a huge factor in console vs pc. way to much stuff to go through when talking cross platforms like that.

if they did have the same options for both platforms, it might be a little bettter. still pc would always have the advantage with higher frames and higher fov. not to mention hacks are much ezer to come by on pc, and would kill the console servers.

My point wasn't the scripting or hacks in game. It was keeping the game ALIVE and ONGOING for the sake of the gamming community.
