Good, now your being more serious, but as for the people who run the servers, they also have a commitment to make sure their servers are hack proof, cheat proof by upgrading and recoding so hackers and cheaters don't commit the insanity they do. Let them continue and yes, this is going to deter a new player from playing. As for people accusing others of hacks and cheats, I agree let them show the proof then we can continue with the accusation(s).

Ok, here. We'll let you spend hours per day re-coding a dead game. And when you re-code it, do it again because 3/4 the people bitch about stuff that you fix. You're forgetting that these people, "DID NOT CREATE TRIBES." There are fucking bugs they do not know about, nor do they have the time to spend investing into finding them or resolving issues (Although they've done hell of a good job finding many of these bugs in the game and their mod itself). There is this thing called....having a life. If you kiddies can't play nice in the sandbox, then get out and just delete your Tribes folder.

What vulcan scripts? The chaingun mode of the vulcan, and the minigun, are almost as accurate as the railgun, but still rapid fire. This is a server side modification meaning that any noob can pick up a chaingun and carve their name in their targets like a pro. Crow is responsible for this edit, as he feels it gives noobs a chance to fight back against relentless snipers. Unfortunately, the relentless snipers dropped their sniper rifles in favor or the new minigun, too...

The rest of this thread reads like an argument between Lawlz and Killroy, but I haven't read a single incorrect statement.

Tribes is ancient.
Modders are volunteers with lives.
Hackers are scoundrels with no life.
As an modder, it's very difficult to keep up with the hackers.
Sometimes we have a hard time fixing bugs that we inadvertently created.

The only thing I disagree with is telling players to delete their Tribes folder (unless it's corrupt and you're instructing them to reinstall).

The player base is dwindling and anything we can do to prolong the inevitable is greatly appreciated.

I know I won't have much time to play this summer, but I sure as hell want something to come back to in the winter.

1. I don't play this mod, it's not balanced enough, but I do put in my effort to play the game on other ways.
2. I don't see you putting in a effort to play to keep the game alive, you've already given up.
3. The one's who have already put in an effort to keep the game alive have already spent time and hours coding and re-coding, and playing the game. It doesn't matter if they created the game or not, they are "DOING" their part to keep it alive, you've just admitted here you given up.
4. I never said anything about anyone giving up their livelihood for this game. I've been around much, much longer than you, and know the efforts that were put forth, and are still being put forth to keep Tribes alive. Again, you just stated you given up.
5. For someone who as openly admitted they have given up, I don't know why you still have the responsibilities you have on the server. Nor why you are still posting on a forum that supports the game and it's players.
6. As for spending hours and hours doing something. I do that daily with what I do for a living. I keep everyone's internet up and running. This doesn't include the little connections, I'm talking about the big one's also. The companies that provide to everyone else. I have a 24 x 7 job, and on call unless on vacation, so I can say I do my part, and understand what it means to not have a life, but that goes with the job duties that were entrusted to myself and I choose to do.
7. I can argue with this subject till the end of days. It's up to you if you want to continue. I say let's call it a truce and move on. This isn't getting anyone anywhere. Agreed?

I'm not going to play when there is at most 5 active people on a server (Half of them just sitting in OBS). I'll stick to my pick-up games.
I've never once stated, "I'm giving up," which you listed like six or seven times. I just don't care to cater to whiny individuals anymore in this game is all.

As for understanding your statement about peoples lives, I understand more than you know. As for doing things outside your workplace, you make smart remarks on a forum thinking it's funny, when someone is trying to relay an issue and there's a language barrier. As for active servers, no LT is not the only one, Argh's Duel, and RPG's are still active. This is common knowledge. As for myself relaying a conversation on this issue, is due to myself investigating an issue with a clansmen. Which you should understand what that means, since you, yourself has stated in the past about respecting the players, correct?

Its not really the unbalanced mod... its the people who have been playing tribes since forever making it unbalanced, mostly ex cheaters

Hey I stated my facts correctly. The only active servers are LT. ARGH's is pretty much an LT server outside of the rare times they actually do arena. Even then it's nothing but LT armor essentially, thus falling into the group of an LT server.
If you count RPG where people are just AFK and auto-training skills while at work, power to ya. And yes this game is dying. That is a LITERAL fact. Where the fuck are you looking at and seeing this mass wave of populated servers that I'm apparently not seeing? You being a beta tester obviously gives you some huge insight that we're all apparently missing.
