it works for everything, player detail, weapon detail, and deployables. It also removes the dithering/blurring of the structure textures, making them appear sharper from a distance (limitations apply obviously).

been using it for two weeks, and I love it. That's why I said vortex turrets aren't a problem anymore because I can see turrets and their box covers from a reasonable distance now.

everything. mines, lasers, players, anything that is a dts shape will now draw within the max visible distance with higher detail.

I wonder how many sparks that would cause, if I still had the computer I first played tribes on...

Umm, which "last" pc are you referring to?

I've been through quite a few.

My first PC was an IBM PS1 running DOS.
Then I had an IBM PS2 running Windows 3.1
When I started playing Tribes, I had an NEC Windows 95.
My father and I custom built a computer with Windows XP. It replaced the NEC, which probably ended up in a closet or a trash can.
When I went to college (the first time), I got an HP Pavilion laptop, running Windows XP, and my parents sold the IBM computers during a garage sale for $25 each.
During my second attempt at college, I built a decent gaming rig, which lasted several years, until I left it at a friend's house, and his cat knocked it over... Never worked again.
I was living on a boat at the time, and decided I didn't need a big gaming rig, and a small portable computer would be better, so I bought a Fujitsu u810. After about a year, I decided I did need a more powerful computer, so I bought an MSI gaming laptop.

The MSI died, so I booted the Fujitsu back up and it promptly died too. Then I bought an ASUS ET2400XVT, which I still use today.

However, I also built another gaming rig, which I pretty much only use for Netflix, since it's plugged into the living roomTV.

My next computer will probably be a Microsoft Surface, but it won't be anytime soon, because I just bought a boat.

It's a 22 foot Boston whaler revenge from 1980 with a 225 horse power Suzuki outboard from 1999.
I know it has at least a 77 gallon fuel tank, but have no idea how fast it goes, or how fast it burns fuel, or if the engine even cranks...

I doubt it has enough range to get to Annapolis, and even if it does, I can't afford the fuel to get back...
Trailering it down there is a possibility, though... But again, I am broke at the moment, so it ain't happening this year.

Whaler is a great fishing boat, remember the commercial where they cut one in half with a chain saw and it remained afloat. lol
I worked at a Marina here for a few years at the lake where I live. Scrubbed many a boat bottom, no barnacles but man that shit was hard to get off, we used acid and scrubbed it with abrasive pads while it was on the hoist. Hard WORK !!! I had a washboard for abs after a couple years of that, good for ya !
