Map issue
Re: Map issue
True, if you don't have a member in an armor already that can hack or take over a deployable, your lost, but...you could make it so there are scattered deployable invo's around the map in which you drop your current pack and pick it up to take back to base, or there could be a hidden base somewhere on the map that can be over taken and used by a switch. There's always ways around things if thought out...Duh
Re: Map issue
No, an objective our neutral station would not solve the issue, because the team with inventories will always have the upper hand and maintain control of it.
Re: Map issue
That's your thought for this mod and game, but there are other games that have previously made this and it worked out fine. Games even before Tribes that are still being played online, example Unreal Tournament and all it's mods, but I see your point also, it depends on the type of players that a team has in which it could work well together. If you have rogue players it might not work out well.
Re: Map issue
Everyone goes rogue, these days.
Team players are a rare breed, and everyone else is either playing for a higher personal score, or trying to hinder their own team.

That might be what it's like in Anni, but not all servers. There's still some team player activities ongoing. Expand your game play.

Re: Map issue
I don't really see that as the case. Think of how many people set up defense. There's always someone, and that's something that benefits the whole team. Also, most people are trying for a flag cap which benefits everyone as well. Of course, you can always relate it to psychological egoism or some Hobbesian BS, but even people who are accumulating a shit load of kills are benefiting their team.perrinoia wrote:Everyone goes rogue, these days.

Re: Map issue
Yes, campers do a pretty good job of defending the base by acting like long range offensive turrets, people who steal the enemy flag, and people who deploy good defenses are even more effective. Both of whom acquire lots of points, require some level of skills, and assist their team.
But I usually see those guys on one team, and the other team has a guy who blocks every entrance, another guy who spams the enemy's entrance with rockets preventing both teams from using the door, and a skilled player whose primary objective is to convince as many people as possibly to go to the arena.
