Unfortunately, the download link for Starsiege and Starsiege: Tribes is not up to date.
I'm struggling to make the installer work on Windows 10, right now... When I click the install button, the app closes.

Hey so I just saw this on PCGamer and my nostalgia kicked in. Went to see if any NHOP were still around and it looked like this is the place if there were any. Is Nappy mod still a thing? Sorry to hijack your topic but I'm having the same problem installing on Win 10.

No.. As far as I can tell, the only active servers run base or Annihilation.

There are plenty of Tribes clients available for download that do work, but the one on hi-rez's website ain't one of them.

This is nice. If only they put even a couple more hours of research and work into it so the links worked we could've gotten a nice bump in players.

I think the community should focus on making a standard basic download for tribes one with an installer that determines your OS and sets you up to play right away without having to mess with masters or extra plugins. You could also choose between a low graphics config and a "hd" config in the installer. Also the ability to choose or add later extras like skins and soundpacks. Once this was all finished it would be nice to get it on steam or even better distributed through good old games http://www.gog.com/

There are some really nice configs out there and the fixes for different OS and master servers, but everything is so saturated that it would be really confusing for new players without a good installer.

Although, since I can't get the installer to work in Windows 10, I dunno what the scale is like. Does anyone have starsiege installed, so they can just zip it up and send it to me?

Since we all know the games have been free for very long time. I dont know if they thought about bring up the old master server source and ip live again. This would change life in Tribes 1 for sure and i mean for the better. Otherwise it wont do much good to bring popularity back to a degree or 2.

Damn, sorry Perr, I had it on disk, but it accidently got broke in half, and the HD it was on, on my older computer crashed, so I don't even have a legit copy anymore myself

Yeah... I've actually played it before, so I know it's on one of my old hard drives... The question is, which one, and has it been formatted since then? The answer is unknown, and most likely.

We'll have another chance to buy the domain on March 23, 2017.

If we can acquire that domain, then everyone with an old copy will suddenly be able to find us.
Also, if we can convince Hi-Rez to update the version of Starsiege: Tribes on their website, we'll be able to get more noobs.
The domain is significantly more important than the download, considering how many alternative downloads there are, that are up to date.
We just need to make sure that the up to date copies are higher ranked on google search results than the obsolete versions.

I dream of one day owning that domain, and hosting not only the master servers, but also a website containing download links, forums, and I'd really like to see some kind of integration between the forum user database and player profiles... For instance, in order to download the game, you must register with the forums, and when you do, the website prepares a custom installation which would be linked to your forum profile, so the servers would be able to verify your identity.
