Legions demo cam

This is pretty nifty. A few of the devs put together a camera path system for Legions demos.



Now, go convert it for T1 plz. :spiteful:

Essentially this:



Now we can create all those fancy moves you see in those Quake videos. Plus the ability to switch to any player in the game (though that needs some work) or freecam any player, regardless if they were in your sensor range when playing.

That's just freecam in demos, though. Creating an actual camera path for smooth playback, as well as being able to fast-forward / rewind to specific points of the demo (you can bookmark any point of the demo) is pretty new.

Just thought I'd share what the Legions guys have been up to. Certainly took them a while.

Democam can't rewind, but it can do everything else, you mentioned.

While the movement is not currently automated, it could be, but why would you want to? If you want the cam to follow the action, you might as well leave it a first person.

However, I could add a single keybind to do the matrix effect, if that's what you're looking for.
