Christmas wishlist
Re: Christmas wishlist
lel alienwear Not knocking the company or anything, however they were hot shit around 2005 but they quickly got left in the dust with their bad business model.
+Main reasons+
- Dell uses refurbished parts and sells them as "fresh" or new.
- Completely overpriced
- They always force intel GPU's onto their customers. Not exactly ideal for "gaming"
- Their cases are overpriced. You'll be better off building your own at their prices.
- The parts are built in china (which is normal) and assembled in Mexico. Meaning your PC is being built by some noob with a druglord for a boss.
- They "tune" your PC before it gets to you, but their average customer base really doesn't know anybetter. The kind of overpriced tuning you could otherwise do yourself, if not better.
-Bad customer service
-Dell is like the Apple of the PC gaming realm.
Edit: I could go on but you should ask someone more experienced on this topic. Like republic for example. This guy knows how to build pc's
Also Newegg has a lot of good decent rigs. I got my 2009 Acer Aspire desktop from there. Stock it came with an NvidiaG210 512ddr2, AMD Athalon II x2, 4gb ram, and a 750Hdd sata it cost about 200$ with the shipping and handling. Dell would have tried to sell that to me for 900$
